You guys. Recently, I got to take one of my favorite things in life: a VACATION! My husband and I headed to St. John USVI, and it was everything I could have hoped for…and more. From sunsets to beach days to AMAZING food, we lived it up, relaxed, and enjoyed all that the Caribbean island has to offer. And because I loved this trip so much, I’ve put together a BEST OF Travel Guide for all of you.

Here’s a little overview of the things we did and the places we went on the island…..

The Beach:

First, We spent each day at a different beach. The island of St. John is only 8 miles long (and is mostly a National Park). There are SO many beaches to explore, some where it feels like you’re there all alone – so amazing! Some required a 4×4 to get to and a hike down, but we did it to experience the natural untouched beauty. Everyday we would say…. this beach is my favorite! lol! We visited Francis Bay and met the best landowners who are all about having a great time. We hung at Cinnamon Bay, Coral Bay, Maho Bay, Honeymoon Bay, Caneel Bay, Hawksnest Bay, Leinster Bay, Haulover Bay, Saltpond Bay, Little Lampshure Bay and accidentally found Grooptan Bay.

The Activities:

We snorkeled, kayaked, paddleboarded, just laid out and enjoyed the quiet tide and cool breezes. It rained for a bit everyday but we enjoyed the short showers from our Cruz Bay balcony with the most beautiful view of St. Thomas.

The Accommodations + Transportation:

We rented a condo and a Jeep Wrangler so we were able to eat, drink, come and go as we pleased. We chose to stay close to town so we could get back easily at night after dinner and drinks at little bayside restaurants and bars.

The Food:

We enjoyed shark bites and tequila shots at Woody’s, the Chiefs playoff game and Conk at Joe’s Rum Hut; Burgers at the Beach Bar; fish tacos, painkillers and bushwackers at High Tide; drinks along the adirondack chairs on the Cruz Bay beach; ate yummy Wahoo at the Fish Trap; and THE BEST meal of the week was at LaTapa over a fantastic bottle of wine and a small plate menu that had me hooked after the salad course!

Final Thoughts:

We shopped for local finds, saw small shops and watched the community work together to make this small place island absolutely magical for the easygoing, nature lovers. We will definitely be back, one day at each beach just wasn’t enough! Here’s the link to the TripAdvisor review that helped us plan our trip. Seven Nights of true bliss with my best friend in the world! Who could ask for more….
