BLACK TIE + EVENTS OUTFITS

OUTFIT #8

How to Wear It:
This dress should be a curve skimming dress that is figure flattering with pretty waist detailing and curved seams. This allows the natural curves of your body to be showcased. I suggest everyone have a dress like this in black and in your best jewel tone shade. Then, it’s ALL ABOUT THE ACCESSORIES! They take simple dresses to another level. The idea is to look and feel sexy and sultry, not up tight and stiff, so have fun with this. Once you have a dress you love, add great shoes and accessories and you’re all set for any black tie event. Don’t forget your shapewear. If you don’t need it, celebrate! If you do, don’t forget to wear it, smoothing things out makes all the difference. And no panty lines! A dress like this calls for a commando/shapewear situation 

How to Wear It All Year:
For warmer weather lose the tights and jacket and swap for a simple pashmina scarf worn as a wrap over your shoulders instead.

CLIFFS NOTES FOR THE DAY:

Mind:
Surround yourself with people who reflect who you want to be and how you want to feel, energies are contagious.

Body:
Exercise for at least 20 minutes a day. Your cells depend on exercise to help remove damaged parts and debris from the body. I like working out at home and outside, I’m not a gym girl. Here is my favorite at-home workout and it’s programmed to cover the whole body in just 30 minutes a day. For me, that makes it part of my lifestyle. Going to the gym never seems like a natural part of my day. SHOP IT HERE

Skin:
Always pat eye cream in with your ring finger; it’s the weakest, so it’s the most gentle.

OUTFIT #22

How to Wear It:
This outfit is great for any special occasion. Pick your-best-color-jewel tone that skims your curves and makes you feel amazing! Sparkly accessories, a statement bag and a black long suit coat make this dress even work for black tie events.

How to Wear It All Year:
To wear in the Spring and Summer just leave the suit coat at home. If it’s cold enough for black tights then wear them and swap the camel heels for black heels.

CLIFFS NOTES FOR THE DAY:

Mind:
You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step… -Martin Luther King

Body:
Keep calm and carry on… Mindfulness calms your nervous system, helps you control your emotions, and makes you more kind to yourself. Find a still and quiet place in your mind when you need to center yourself. This takes practice but can be mastered even in the most chaotic situations.

Hair:
Practice a new do for your new outfit. If you usually wear your hair straight, opt for a few curls. If you usually wear your hair curly, straighten it and pull the lightest weight side back behind your ear with a bobby pin. You’ll be turning heads in no time. It’s crazy what new little changes make.

Body:
Most of us don’t consider our hormones when we plan out a meal or grab something to eat, but we should. Our hormones completely control how we feel, act, think, and even how we treat others. What controls our hormones for the most part? Rest, stress management, and staying active play a part, but nothing acts like directors for your cells like your food does.
